obama's failed green dream

You the taxpayers are on the hook for BILLIONS of dollars and counting because of obama's dismal failure in the move from a petroleum based infrastructure to one of windmills and mirrors. In fact it is smoke and mirrors when it comes to his diatribes.The fact is that if you were to level every state in the lower 48, leaving only California and fill all that land with solar and windmills, you would still not produce enough power to keep California running.

Americans and Californians in particular need to get a grip on reality. Reality is not a concept. If you think that if the whole country went magically green overnight that it would even make a dent in the flawed theory of global warming, you are more than a few tree's short of a forest! With Chindia [China & India] building 1 coal burning plant a week EACH, there is not a chance! 
Whats more, with the failure of the Fukashima nuclear power plant disaster in Japan, it sent shock-waves around the world to the point that several countries, including Japan have decided to call it quits and go nuclear free. 

Germany and other European countries have passed laws that close down their reactors over the next decade or so. Some of you might welcome this, but they have to be replaced with something to make up the severe shortage of power they will experience. Do you have any idea what they are building, again, to make up that huge deficit of electricity? Well it doesn't spin, absorb or reflect. It IS black, abundant and very cheap.....yep you guessed it, COAL! On average it takes 10 coal burning plants to reach the same capacity of 1 nuclear plant and there are hundreds of nuclear power plants dotted all over Europe and Japan. 

Unlike Americans, they realize that going green, won't even make up 5% of the electricity they have become accustomed to. Do you people have ANY ideas that will make up the 95% you have just taken off line? NO, of course you don't.

I would luv to take all you green thumb, tree hugging imbeciles aside and strip you of all the things that you so verbosely espouse to! Lets see, we will start with your cell phones and vehicles, then cut you off the grid and leave you with your beloved windmills and mirrors,[nope, they too took energy and mining to produce] an axe to chop wood [oops, no, can't cut down trees] so you better find something for warmth and cooking...well you can see where this is going. At this rate you better PRAY for global warming or start WALKING to the tropics and live on coconuts. 

Do you still not see how absurd your cries of insane demands are? No you don't. You never will, but you will carry on with your outrageous hypocritical rants and still seem to think you have some semblance of credibility! You are a joke to anyone with a grade 3 education or higher with the exception of union run schools from whence you came. 

When are we going to hear what YOUR fantastic ideas YOU have on keeping this planet running without using ANYTHING you say you hate so much? Grow up and try and do something productive with your lives that might HELP others instead of trying to take away things that most of us luv and realistically, can't live without!

Will Government Motors go bankrupt again?

The Story No One Tells About One of America's Biggest Bankruptcies

The GM situation is a microcosm of what's gone wrong in our country.

In the June issue of my Investment Advisory, I argued that the bankruptcy process resolved none of GM's core problems. The process was subverted by the political establishment, which sought to protect one class of citizen at the expense of the regional economy, GM's bondholders, and its customers.

If we can't apply the rule of law and sound economics to fixing one of the world's most important manufacturing concerns… it doesn't bode well for anyone else being afforded these privileges, either.

That's why it's so important for you to understand what happened.

Most people simply don't realize that the bailout of GM wasn't a bailout of the company. It wasn't a bailout of its shareholders, who lost everything… or its bondholders, who lost almost everything. Where did the money go? To the union. The United Auto Workers (UAW) ended up with all the money.

Let me show you how…

GM slid into bankruptcy primarily because it couldn't profitably manufacture cars. (Yes, there were plenty of other issues, like too much debt, investments in subprime mortgages, etc. But the primary reason it couldn't solve these other problems was that it hadn't been making routine profits from manufacturing cars in about 20 years.) And the biggest single reason it couldn't profitably make cars was because its labor costs had soared.

Well, guess what? At $56 per hour, GM still has the highest labor costs in the industry.

The bankruptcy process didn't deal with the biggest financial hurdle GM faces, which is an enormous (and growing) unfunded pension liability. When the company entered bankruptcy, it owed $20 billion to the trust that was established to pay for the health care of its retired workers. Its pension program, with $100 billion in obligations, was also underfunded by roughly $10 billion. That's $30 billion in legitimate claims, which the union had to present to the bankruptcy court on behalf of GM's employees.

It could have received a mixture of cash and equity in the new GM – just like any other unsecured creditor. But there wasn't really a bankruptcy court. Instead, there was Steve Rattner – "the Rat," as we call him – the crooked Democratic political operative under investigation for bribing New York State pension officials. Obama made him the "car czar."

His job wasn't to fix GM. It was to deliver billions to the union and, thus, deliver Michigan for Obama in the next election.

Bondholders at GM were owed $30 billion, too. A legitimate bankruptcy would have sold or liquidated the company's assets and split the proceeds between the two major claimants, the bondholders and the unions. GM had roughly $20 billion in tangible assets, plus probably another $10 billion in intellectual property. These sums could have either been liquidated or put into a new company, with the equity split between bondholders and unions.

Not surprisingly, the current market cap of the new GM is $34 billion, right around the same number that could have been raised in a liquidation. The bankruptcy court should have given the unions roughly $15 billion worth of cash or new equity and the same thing to bondholders.

Everyone would be square. And the company (or at least the company's assets) would have been freed from the stranglehold of huge debts and pension obligations.

Taxpayers shouldn't have paid a dime in this process because, frankly, it's none of our business.

Remember… the purpose of bankruptcy isn't to repay creditors. They're screwed. They're not getting all their money back because they bet on the wrong horse. That's how capitalism works. That's the price of liberty – you're free to make bad choices.

The purpose of bankruptcy is to free productive assets from the burden of debts that can't be repaid or refinanced. We do this because it's good for society, not because it's good for creditors. Had the bankruptcy been handled legitimately, GM's assets would have ended up in the hands of better entrepreneurs. Its workers could have found new, productive jobs at a rate the market would bear. (Other carmakers are paying $47 per hour – these aren't bad jobs.)

Yes, GM's retirees, its pension program, and its bondholders would have taken a hit. But they wouldn't have walked away empty-handed. They would have been the owners of a profitable company, operating debt-free and without the burden of almost endless obligations to a pension fund.

But that's not what happened. Instead, the government injected an amazing $50 billion into the company and, at last count, has lost roughly half of it.

How did taxpayers lose $25 billion on a company whose total tangible assets were only worth $20 billion? How did bondholders lose almost all of their $30 billion, too? And most importantly, how did our country end up with a GM that can't earn a genuine profit because of never-ending obligations to its pension fund?

I think you probably know, dear subscriber. The Rat did what he was being paid to do. He delivered billions and billions of dollars to the union… amounts that will never be recovered… billions that will never be found.

Here's what we do know about where the money went… Bondholders got 10% of the new GM – about $4 billion worth of stock at the time of the IPO. However, they weren't allowed to sell until much later, so that value dropped about one-third by the time they could have actually liquidated. Thus, bondholders ended up getting about 10 cents on the dollar. The unions, on the other hand, got paid 100% of the pension liability – about $10 billion, which was simply passed onto the new GM and has now grown to $13 billion.

In addition, the union's health care trust got 17.5% of the new equity (worth about $6 billion), plus $9 billion in preferred stock and notes. These securities are not only worth more, but they will also likely end up with essentially all the company's cash flows for the next decade. 

In total, the unions walked away with about $28 billion in cash and stock (out of $30 billion owed). Not surprisingly, that's almost exactly the amount of money that's gone missing from the government's accounts. The union also retained a position of absolute control over the company's earnings.

In short, the unions got paid 93% of what they were owed and will likely continue to have a legal claim to virtually all of GM's cash flow. The bondholders got a few pennies. The taxpayers lost $25 billion. And GM still can't make a real profit. Bravo!

I'm sure folks as virtuous, thrifty, and honest as the good people of the UAW will prove to be excellent stewards of GM's assets and reputation. Surely, GM's future has never been brighter. And Obama's legacy as the savior of Detroit is assured…

By the way… the numbers above are all real. Most of the stuff you see reported about GM is not. There's a good reason for this, of course… The government continues to own a large portion of GM's stock, and GM is one of the largest advertisers in the U.S.

Nobody wants to take on those two powerful interests.

Take, for example, what Morgan Stanley's GM analyst, Adam Jonas, told the Wall Street Journal earlier this month… He claimed GM had gotten rid of 20% of its roughly $100 billion total pension obligation by spending only "$3 billion." Imagine if that were true!

If the company was able to resolve $20 billion in obligations by spending $3 billion now, well… that would dramatically improve the financial standing of the business and probably double or triple its stock price. Strangely, that's not what happened. Instead, the credit ratings agencies warned they "might" have to downgrade GM's debt. And the share price continued to fall…

I don't know Adam Jonas. And I don't know that the paper is quoting him fairly. But whatever the case, nothing could be further from the truth.

GM unloaded $26 billion in future pension liabilities by contributing $25 billion in pension fund assets, $1 billion in cash, and paying $3 billion in an insurance premium. So what actually happened is that the company put virtually all of its earnings – $4 billion – toward its pension (again) and saw the total unfunded liability drop by a mere $1 billion, from $14 billion to $13 billion.

Assuming the rest of these liabilities could be extinguished at the same rate, it would cost GM roughly $50 billion to wipe out all its remaining pension liabilities. Strangely, neither Jonas nor the Wall Street Journalsaw fit to mention that part…

I'll leave you with these two simple questions…

If we can't count on the media to keep us informed about the major problems of our country's most important companies… and if we can't count on the government (which still owns 26% of GM's equity) to deal with its pension obligations honestly and fairly… what does this say about the likely future prospects of GM? What does it say about our country?

How Stupid are American Voters?

Well this should come as NO surprise to anyone! The last bastion of unionism has no choice but to endorse our communist in chief as they have pissed off just about EVERY non-union American out there under obama and his out of control left wingnut NLRB crew! Check this out by fellow blogger Dr. Ileana Johnson Paugh:

As I read the memorandum in front of me, I am amazed how blind Americans are, how naïve, ignorant, credulous, and unable to discern fact from fiction, reality from fantasy. How much more proof do they need before they realize our country is on the path of purposeful destruction?

Service Employees International Union (SEIU), with its 2.1 million dues paying members had announced on November 16, 2011, “with great pride and a sense of purpose,” that they were endorsing President Barack Obama for re-election.
“President Obama is the only candidate for president who shares our vision of America as a land of opportunity for everyone. We need a leader willing to fight for the needs of the 99 percent, and stand with hard working families to say that the world’s wealthiest corporations must pay their fair share.”

Is this the vision of socialist America where almost 50 percent of citizens already pay no federal income tax and receive welfare from the producers? Is this the vision where pot-smoking youth occupy our parks demanding handouts while preaching Marxism?
Is this the vision of America where working Americans support millions of illegal aliens who take advantage of our lax law enforcement when foreigners cross the border illegally, drop anchor babies, use our emergency rooms for medical care, our schools and universities for educating their children, and take jobs from American citizens?

Our leader does not fight for the needs of all Americans. His needs, golfing, vacationing, entertaining lavishly at taxpayer expense, or his favorite hobby, non-stop campaigning, come first. He punishes companies that are not supporting his plan for America and rewards companies who have contributed heavily to his campaign coffers.

Congressman Frank Wolf remarked on the floor of the House on November 16, 2011, “General Electric, the nation’s largest corporation, had a very good year in 2010 but GE paid zero taxes in 2010. At the same time, the Congressional Research Service found that the October 2008 issue of China Taxation magazine published top corporate taxpayers in the commercial services sector. The Beijing subsidiary of GE was number 32.”
The 99 percent have been overlooked by the head of President Obama’s Council on Jobs and Competitiveness, GE chairman, Jeffrey Immelt, who announced recently that the headquarters of its 115-year old X-ray business would be moved from Wisconsin to Beijing.

Fifty percent of GE’s workforce is overseas. A joint venture between GE and the Chinese firm AVIC was announced to develop avionics systems for jets. If the president cared so much for the 99 percent, would he not make sure jobs would be created here and repatriated from China?
Is it a good idea to provide the PLA with advanced avionics technology at a time when the Chinese are developing aeronautics and space exploration programs? Is this not a national security issue?

The SEIU memo continues, “Our economy and democracy have been taken over by the wealthiest one percent.” The truth is, wealthy individuals are being threatened and blackmailed by the left on a daily basis.  Our country has been taken over by Marxists and anti-American individuals who wish nothing but the failure and de-development of America from a super-power to a third world nation.

The SEIU memo to its members says, “These bankers and CEOs have used their wealth and excessive political influence to treat our state and federal governments like their personal cash drawer – spending lavishly on elections and then pressuring legislators to give them even more instead of creating jobs. It shows the results.”
Was it not unions that spent hundreds of millions of dollars to elect Democrats to Congress and President Obama in order to influence the outcome of legislation favoring and benefiting unions?

Was it not ACORN protesting outside the homes of bankers and CEOs with the intent of shaming them into giving mortgage loans to people with shady credit scores? Were certain Congresspersons not urging bankers to make these loans? Did this move not exacerbate the housing bubble crisis?
Corporations are not creating jobs because they are overregulated, EPA is denying permits, business confidence under this administration is at its lowest, and corporations are afraid to hire because of the uncertainty of taxation and the foreseen high cost of Obamacare per employee.

SEIU’s president says, “We know there needs to be a pathway to citizenship for every immigrant worker.” The left now calls illegal aliens “immigrant workers,” last year it was “undocumented workers.” No matter how they spin it, the left wants amnesty for illegal aliens because they want new cardholders paying dues to unions and new automatic Democrat voters. It does not matter to liberals that the majority of Americans do not want amnesty.

Our President has had three years, a few billion dollars job stimuli, and many opportunities to create jobs. It never was his intent to create jobs – he likes people being dependent on the government dole. People who cannot find jobs, especially young people with college degrees, have nobody to blame but themselves for choosing perennial poverty by voting for Obama in 2008 and by choosing unmarketable degrees.

Mr. Obama has presided over the largest spending spree in the history of the U.S., out of control debt that threatens our national security. Aided by both Republicans and Democrats in Congress who are unwilling to set a debt ceiling, he will not stop spending until we have reached an insurmountable debt that many future generations will not be able to repay. It is like giving a child total control of the candy jar.
“We know that health care, elder care and other vital services must be available for all our families,” says the SEIU President in her letter, which solicits $10 in re-election campaign donations. 
We already have the best and most generous health care system in the world available for all families, including illegal alien ones. Nobody is refused medical care in our emergency rooms. Foreign nationals come to America legally for medical treatment because we have the best-trained and brightest physicians in the world and the fastest service.

Insurance issues across state lines should have been addressed first and the fraud within the healthcare system. Instead, Obamacare increased the cost of healthcare and health insurance. In order to offer everything to everybody as falsely promised, rationing and death panels had been introduced in the massive bill that we had to “pass first in order to know what’s in it.” 

This one bill will add trillions of dollars to our future national debt.
“President Obama is looking to turn things around, but he needs help from all of us to be heard over his wealthy opponents, people who seem to believe that the only thing wrong with the economy is that they have to share it,” says SEIU President Mary Kay Henry.
People have heard President Obama loud and clear. No matter how many times he repeats his canned rhetoric, none of his plans, schemes, bailouts, stimuli have worked, none of them. He cannot turn things around because he does not know how. Furthermore, he has no intention of doing so.

Mr. Obama is a wealthy man himself, much wealthier than he was when he took office.  He knows that wealthy people cannot and do not keep all wealth for themselves, they spend it and reinvest it in order to create more wealth. In the process, they create jobs and elevate the economic status of many Americans.
Although we cannot blame all the economic problems on President Obama’s leadership and his failed policies, he is the captain of the ship of state.
Pandering to economic dolts and people who are asleep is a very stealthy tool to manipulate the masses into automatic donor compliance and SEIU has a large membership.

SEIU President continues in her letter, “Just last month, congressional supporters of the one percent blocked President Obama’s latest job proposals. They claimed that we could not afford to invest in creating jobs in the United States and then suggested another round of tax cuts for wealthy corporations and the one percent. I have a word for that: “ridiculous.”

Jobs were indeed created by this administration in the past three years with American taxpayer dollars – in China, Finland, Mexico, and Brazil.
Past economic history has proven that every time taxes were cut, government revenue increased, and small corporations, most of which have a capital of $100,000, created jobs. We only have 500 or so large corporations. If we confiscated everything corporations own and their profits, it could only offset our huge national debt for a short period of time while the greedy spending in Washington would continue.

It is incomprehensible that people are unable to see through the disingenuous statements made in this SEIU call to action memo to re-elect Obama President. The seemingly small $10 donation will be their economic demise. Fighting and knocking door-to-door to re-elect a losing president assures a bleak future for the so-called 99 percenters. If he is re-elected, the economy will take an irreversible slide into bankruptcy. We will become the banana republic he planned to “fundamentally transform” us into all along.

George Soros-The Jew you have to hate!

I have hated this scumbag since I started reading articles on him in the 80's and as time goes on, I hate him more and after you read this, maybe you will too! You can only put him in the ranks of Stalin and Hitler themselves. He is a left wingnut communist that has spent his life trying to bring down the western way of life and capitalism with his social engineering. Here is some facts from Steve Kroft of 60 minutes with input from Glen Beck who has been bringing this to the forefront long before anyone else!

Who Is George Soros? He brought the market down in 2 days. Here is what CBS' Mr. Steve Kroft's research has turned up. It's a bit of a read, and it took 4 months to put it together. "The main obstacle to a stable and just world order is the United States . "George Soros"
 
George Soros is an evil man. He's anti-God, anti-family, anti-American, and anti-good." He killed and robbed his own Jewish people. What we have in Soros, is a multi-billionaire atheist, with skewed moral values, and a sociopath's lack of conscience. He considers himself to be an elitist World class philosopher, despises the American way, and just loves to do social engineering and change cultures.
 
György Schwartz, better known to the world as George Soros, was born August 12, 1930, inHungary . Soros' father, Tivadar, was a fervent practitioner of the Esperanto language invented in 1887, and designed to be the first global language, free of any national identity. The Schwartz's, who were non-practicing Jews, changed the family name to Soros, in order to facilitate assimilation into the Gentile population, as the Nazis spread into Hungary during the 1930s.
 
When Hitler's henchman Adolf Eichmann arrived in Hungary to oversee the murder of that country's Jews, George Soros ended up with a man whose job was confiscating property from the Jewish population. Soros went with him on his rounds.
 
Soros has repeatedly called 1944 "the best year of his life." 70% of Mr. Soros' fellow Jews in Hungary , nearly a half-million human beings, were annihilated in that year, yet he gives no sign that this put any damper on his elation, either at the time or indeed in retrospect." During an interview with "Sixty Minute's" Steve Kroft, Soros was asked about his "best year."
 
KROFT: My understanding is that you went out with this protector of yours who swore that you were his adopted godson. SOROS: Yes. Yes.
 
KROFT: Went out, in fact, and helped in the confiscation of property from your fellow Jews, friends and neighbors. SOROS: Yes. That's right. Yes.
 
KROFT: I mean, that sounds like an experience that would send lots of people to the psychiatric couch for many, many, years. Was it difficult?
SOROS: No, not at all. Not at all, I rather enjoyed it.
 
KROFT: No feelings of guilt?
SOROS: No, only feelings of absolute power.
 
In his article, Muravchik describes how Soros has admitted to having carried some rather "potent messianic fantasies with me from childhood, which I felt I had to control, otherwise they might get me in trouble." Be that as it may. After WWII, Soros attended the London School of Economics, where he fell under the thrall of fellow atheist and Hungarian, Karl Popper, one of his professors. Popper was a mentor to Soros until Popper's death in 1994. Two of Popper's most influential teachings concerned "the open society," and Fallibilism.
 
Fallibilism is the philosophical doctrine that all claims of knowledge could, in principle, be mistaken. (Then again, I could be wrong about that.) The "open society" basically refers to a "test and evaluate" approach to social engineering. Regarding "open society" Roy Childs writes, "Since the Second World War, most of the Western democracies have followed Popper's advice about piecemeal social engineering and democratic social reform, and it has gotten them into a grand mess."
 
In 1956 Soros moved to New York City where he worked on Wall Street, and started amassing his fortune. He specialized in hedge funds and currency speculation. Soros is absolutely ruthless, amoral, and clever in his business dealings, and quickly made his fortune. By the 1980s he was well on his way to becoming the global powerhouse that he is today.
 
In an article Kyle-Anne Shiver wrote for "The American Thinker" she says, "Soros made his first billion in 1992 by shorting the British pound with leveraged billions in financial bets, and became known as the man who broke the Bank of England. He broke it on the backs of hard-working British citizens who immediately saw their homes severely devalued and their life savings cut drastically, almost overnight."
 
In 1994 Soros crowed in "The New Republic," that "the former Soviet Empire is now called the Soros Empire." The Russia-gate scandal in 1999, which almost collapsed the Russian economy, was labeled by Rep. Jim Leach, then head of the House Banking Committee, to be "one of the greatest social robberies in human history. "The "Soros Empire" indeed. In 1997 Soros almost destroyed the economies of Thailand and Malaysia . At the time, Malaysia 's Prime Minister, Mahathir Mohammad, called Soros "a = villain, and a moron." Thai activist Weng Tojirakarn said, "We regard George Soros as a kind of Dracula. He sucks the blood from the people."
 
The website Greek National Pride reports, "Soros was part of the full court press that dismantledYugoslavia and caused trouble in Georgia , Ukraine and Myanmar [ Burma ]. Calling himself a philanthropist, Soros' role is to tighten the ideological stranglehold of globalization and the New World Order while promoting his own financial gain. He is without conscience; a capitalist who functions with absolute amorality."
 
France has upheld an earlier conviction against Soros, for felony insider trading. Soros was fined 2.9 million dollars. Recently, his native Hungary fined Soros 2.2 million dollars for "illegal market manipulation." Elizabeth Crum writes that the Hungarian economy has been in a state of transition as the country seeks to become more financially stable and westernized. Soros is deliberately driving down the share price of its largest bank put Hungary 's economy into a wicked tailspin, one from which it is still trying to recover.
 
My point here is that Soros is a planetary parasite. His grasp, greed, and gluttony have a global reach. But what about America ? Soros told Australia 's national newspaper "The Australian." " America , as the centre of the globalized financial markets, was sucking up the savings of the world. This is now over. The game is out," he said, adding that the time has come for "a very serious adjustment" in American's consumption habits. He implied that he was the one with the power to bring this about."
Soros: "World financial crisis was "stimulating" and "in a way, the culmination of my life's work."
Obama has recently promised 10 billion of our tax dollars to Brazil , in order to give them a leg-up in expanding their offshore oil fields. Obama's largesse towards Brazil came shortly after his political financial backer, George Soros, invested heavily in Brazilian oil (Petrobras).
 
Tait Trussel writes, "The Petrobras loan may be a windfall for Soros and Brazil , but it is a bad deal for the U.S. The American Petroleum Institute estimates that oil exploration in the U.S. could create 160,000 new, well-paying jobs, as well as $1.7 trillion in revenues to federal, state, and local governments, all while fostering greater energy security and independence."

Back to America . Soros has been actively working to destroy America from the inside out for some years now. People have been warning us. Two years ago, news sources reported that "Soros [is] an extremist who wants open borders, a one-world foreign policy, legalized drugs, euthanasia, and on and on. This is off-the-chart dangerous." In 1997 Rachel Ehrenfeld wrote, "Soros uses his philanthropy to change or more accurately deconstruct the moral values and attitudes of the Western world, and particularly of the American people. His "open society" is not about freedom; it is about license. His vision rejects the notion of ordered liberty, in favor of a PROGRESSIVE ideology of rights and entitlements."
 
Perhaps the most important of these "whistle blowers" are David Horowitz and Richard Poe. Their book "The Shadow Party" outlines in detail how Soros hijacked the Democratic Party, and now owns it lock, stock, and barrel. Soros has been packing the Democratic Party with radicals, and ousting moderate Democrats for years. The Shadow Party became the Shadow Government, which recently became the Obama Administration.
 
Discover The Networks. org (another good source) writes, "By his [Soros'] own admission, he helped engineer coups in Slovakia , Croatia , Georgia , and Yugoslavia . When Soros targets a country for "regime change," he begins by creating a shadow government, a fully formed government-in-exile, ready to assume power when the opportunity arises. The Shadow Party he has built in America greatly resembles those he has created in other countries prior to instigating a coup."
 
November 2008 edition of the German magazine "Der Spiegel," in which Soros gives his opinion on what the next POTUS (President of the U.S. ) should do after taking office. "I think we need a large stimulus package." Soros thought that around 600 billion would be about right. Soros also said that "I think Obama presents us a great opportunity to finally deal with global warming and energy dependence. The U.S. needs a cap and trade system with auctioning of licenses for emissions rights."
 
Although Soros doesn't (yet) own the Republican Party, like he does the Democrats, make no mistake, his tentacles are spread throughout the Republican Party as well.
 
Soros is a partner in the Carlyle Group where he has invested more than 100 million dollars. According to an article by "The Baltimore Chronicle's" Alice Cherbonnier, the Carlye Group is run by "a veritable who's who of former Republican leaders," from CIA man Frank Carlucci, to CIA head and ex-President George Bush, Sr.
 
In late 2006, Soros bought about 2 million shares of Halliburton, Dick Cheney's old stomping grounds. When the Democrats and Republicans held their conventions in 2000, Soros held Shadow Party conventions in the same cities, at the same time. In 2008, Soros donated $5,000,000,000 (that's Five Billion) to the Democratic National Committee, DNC, to insure Obama's win and wins for many other Alinsky trained Radical Rules Anti-American Socialists. George has been contributing a $ billion plus to the DNC since Clinton came on the scene.
 
Soros has dirtied both sides of the aisle, trust me. And if that weren't bad enough, he has long held connections with the CIA. And I mustn't forget to mention Soros' involvement with the MSM (Main Stream Media), the entertainment industry (e. g. he owns 2.6 million shares of Time Warner), and the various political advertising organizations he funnels millions to. In short, George Soros controls or influences most of the MSM. Little wonder they ignore the TEA PARTY, Soro's NEMESIS.
 
As Matthew Vadum writes, "The liberal billionaire-turned-philanthropist has been buying up media properties for years in order to drive home his message to the American public that they are too materialistic, too wasteful, too selfish, and too stupid to decide for themselves how to run their own lives."
 
Richard Poe writes, "Soros' private philanthropy, totaling nearly $5 billion, continues undermining America 's traditional Western values. His giving has provided funding of abortion rights, atheism, drug legalization, sex education, euthanasia, feminism, gun control, globalization, mass immigration, gay marriage and other radical experiments in social engineering."

Poe continues, "Through his global web of Open Society Institutes and Open Society Foundations, Soros has spent 25 years recruiting, training, indoctrinating and installing a network of loyal operatives in 50 countries, placing them in positions of influence and power in media, government, finance and academia."
Without Soros' money, would Saul Alinsky's Chicago machine still be rolling? Would SEIU, ACORN, and La Raza still be pursuing their nefarious activities? Would Big Money and lobbyists still be corrupting government? Would our college campuses still be retirement homes for 1960s radicals?
 
America stands at the brink of an abyss, and that fact is directly attributable to Soros. Soros has vigorously, cleverly, and insidiously planned the ruination of America and his puppet, Barack Obama is leading the way.
 
The words of Patrick Henry are apropos: "Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, almighty God! I know not what course others may take, but as for me, give me liberty, or give me death!"

Why unions are now USELESS!

Maybe this will explain to you all why unions, in the 21st century have become USELESS! Well written by a fellow Blogger, Bruce Walker

The battle of conservatives to transform America has drawn increasingly savage fire from organized labor.  Like so many relics of leftist power, labor unions spin wild tales of an awful past in order to justify their continued special status in our nation.

In much the same way, so-called Civil Rights leaders view our past as pure, vile racism which it will take five hundred years to eradicate.  Feminists see misogyny in everything conservatives propose, except when we defend the reputation of Michele Bachmann or Sarah Palin.  Environmentalists, whose roots were in the honorable Conservation movement of a century ago, now deify dirt, water, feral animals and force us to also genuflect at the altars of this false pantheon.

Leftism, without labor, is a menagerie of distasteful exhibits in a carnival freak show.  Labor unions, however, profess to champion ordinary working families.  Most conservative unhappiness of late has been with public employees unions, which have been toxic for state budgets and taxpayers.  The image remains of industrial labor unions which have helped those folks who make America run.  In particular, the right of unions to compel with a 51% vote of the workers at a shop or organize has been seen as vital to improvement of the lot of workers in America. 

That is not true.  Unions are granted by law the right to “bargain” on behalf of workers who do not want to be part of the union in states which are not right-to-work states.  These unions assess dues, which are overwhelmingly used for political purposes.  These workers serve a much meaner and rougher boss than their nominal employer:  union overlords. 
Workers in right-to-work states are free to form unions, to negotiate with employers and to strike.  

These unions, however, cannot compel workers who do not agree with the union to be bound by union contracts, to strike when unions want to strike, or to pay union dues.  These sorts of unions – purely voluntary and without the legal power to coerce their members – are as legitimate as any other private association. 

Liberty has sweet fruits.  Unemployment in the 22 right-to-work states is lower than in the 28 states that do not grant individual employees the right to work without joining a union.  Business in those free states can choose rationally how to use workers not bound by union contracts.  In a fast-changing, information and technology driven economy, that ability to respond quickly to an evolving business climate is vital. 

In the 28 states without right to work, employers are not free to lay off workers when the rational need for workers is low, so the fact that unemployment is actually higher in those states masks the fact that the employment rate of economically needed workers in right to work states is even higher than in the 28 states which allow union contracts which demand that unproductive workers remain on the payroll.  Beyond that, union bosses are just another layer of bureaucracy which must be fed from the labors of genuinely productive people.  These bureaucrats, like all bureaucrats, must invent work to do and that, in turn, creates more work in businesses and in labor relations lawyers to represent business. 

Worse, these union bureaucrats must constantly stoke the myths of employer oppression.  They must be closet socialists and latent Marxists.  If the market rewards employers who use employees efficiently, fairly and honorably and if it punishes employers who treat employees like medieval serfs, then the whole rationale for having unions tumbles like a deck of cards.  Of course, the argument for exploited workers is pure hokum in America.  People are free to quit jobs when they want and take better jobs when they want.  People are free to move to regions with greener pastures.  People are also free to create their own businesses or to work as contract labor for firms. 

No one in America ever made a man work in a coal mine or in a steel mill.  The worker chose that because, on balance, that seemed the best work for him.  Savvy employers like Henry Ford paid his workers very high wages with the conscious intention that this would enable them to buy his Model T (and they did.)  Businesses like Bell Telephone, Pillsbury, and Sears introduced profit sharing in the early part of the last century and today almost one quarter of all workers participate in these sorts of plans.  The path up the corporate ladder has allowed people from very humble backgrounds to reach the pinnacle of the business world.  The relationship between employers and employees in American business history has been symbiotic, not exploitive. 

Unraveling the sappy and dull thinking of Marx and his embittered disciples really undoes leftism itself.  Useless unions would have no rationale for existence except the lust for power of its bosses. Take unions out of politics and all that remains is the gaggle of dirt worshipers, unbalanced feminists and civil rights straw bosses. 

That is why Republicans, not just in the presidential race but particularly in states like Michigan and Pennsylvania, should make right-to-work a top priority.  Conventional political wisdom once urged Republicans to simply ignore unions.  The vicious battles against modest reforms in Wisconsin prove that ignoring union power is both wrongheaded and unnecessary.  Unions lose political fights, when the fights are head-on and not glancing.  Ending forced union membership as a condition of employment would provide a transfusion of enterprise to business in America, it would demonstrate the dangerous folly of socialism, and it would remove the corrupting power of union armies in American elections.

It’s Time to Tax the Trillionaires, never mind the others!

I had to put this up after my friend Sandra Jackson said something the other day! She is on the right track, but me thinks this is one better! So here it is folks, what's the chance of this passing? This is from a great thinker Daniel Greenfield

Obama says that it’s time to tax the rich. I agree, but while he wants to limit the tax to millionaires and billionaires—I want to advance it to trillionaires.
Forget Warren Buffett and his secretary and the rest of the small timers, let’s look at where the real money is going—to the trillionaires. Who are the trillionaires? They’re the people who spent and spent until we ended up with a 15 trillion dollar deficit. Now it’s time to make them pay their fair share.
Politicians, public sector unions, crony capitalists and the rest of the rotten body politic that left us with a debt so big that it can’t be repaid without selling an entire state. It’s time to make the trillionaires pay.

How do we make them pay. Obama has complained that unless we raisetaxes on the rich, there will be no money for Medicare. That’s a fair point, so let’s tax the trillionaires to recoup the costs. And let’s make it a whopping progressive tax too.


Forget taxing their take home pay from their non-profits and their dues—we know that like Buffett and half the cabinet, they just won’t pay. Let’s tax the taxman instead. Since the money that should have kept SocialSecurity solvent was spent by the trillionaires, it should be taken out of their spending. Forget taxing income—it’s time to tax Federal spending.


Got a new bill that calls for spending 10 billion dollars to make pogo sticks in low income neighborhoods more energy efficient or 400 million dollars in foreign aid to terrorists or 1 million to rum factories in the Cayman Islands (because who the hell knows why)? No problem, just get ready to pay your fair share of the bill first toward the national debt and all other obligations.

And let’s do Sweden one better by making this a 90 percent tax.
Yes Barry, I know it’s hard, but it’s only fair—those who spend more should also have to pay more. It’s not class warfare, it’s simple math. And the simple math says that the only way to fix budget failures is by taking the money out of the budget. Sure we could hang around waiting for politicians to do the right thing, or we could tax their spending.


It makes no real sense to tax businesses and individuals in a tough economic climate, not when there’s less money for everyone—but in Washington D.C. the spending is still going strong which means they clearly have money to burn. Why burn it on habitats for owls and research projects to study how much television prison inmates can watch without going insane—when we can put it to better use by covering the government’s debts.


It’s simple math, we have to make those who spend more money pay their fair share. It’s up to the trillionaires in Washington D.C. and their allies around the country to start covering some of the losses. And since the definition of tax is fluid in this administration, call it a penalty or a slow repayment plan.


We can only spend so much time moving money around, using fake spending cuts to pay for separate programs, and then making fake cuts to those programs and claiming that spending cuts have been tripled, even as it’s the spending that has actually tripled. No more games, just a 90 percent tax on all Federal spending directed at the deficit and obligations on which the government has threatened to default.

Of course an extended repayment program will take time and even with a very progressive tax, the debt will still take years to pay off. But that just calls for the trillionaires to find creative solutions to pitch in. What about the Barney Frank Acapella Choir Sings Jingle Cats or Obama’s Inspiring Birthday Greetings (Only Slightly Plagiarized From the Works of Maya Angelou.) There’s plenty of ideas out there and most of them are bound to at least earn some money. And they’ll need to work hard because that tax also applies to the salaries of Federal employees in decision making positions.


There’s no question that we can’t go on this way, but the hole problem can’t be solved by trying to fill it with shovels. Federal spending dug the hole and adding more shovels by raising taxes will just make a bigger hole. The only way we can fill the hole is if we take away the shovels and start putting the dirt back. That means taxing the spenders, not the earners.
The problem isn’t that we don’t tax the rich enough, it’s that we don’t tax the super-rich enough. Taxing the millionaires and billionaires will never raise enough money because the deficit isn’t caused by low taxes, it’s caused by uncontrolled spending. The only tax that will work is a tax on spending.


Now a tax on spending is the only kind of tax in the world that the progressive party is not on board with—because it’s a tax on them, a tax on their capacity to spend, a tax on the source of their power. The Federal budget amounts to a giant pile of money gathered from all over and then handed out to cronies and supporters. It’s a spoils system and a spoiled system and the deficit of trillions testifies to that.


The pile of money is our target because it feeds directly into the deficit, it’s why seniors are worried and have good reason to be. What was once set up as a safety net has become a big heaping platter of pork served up to everyone with access to a congressman, a protest sign or a checkbook. The only way out of this mess is by getting hold of that pile of money and taking it out of the hands of the people spending it, and what better way to do that then by using the mechanism that allowed them to create that pile of money in the first place.

Taxing the taxmen has a certain quality of poetic justice to it, but also pragmatism. It cuts up the credit cards of the D.C. establishment, puts them on a budget and them lets them have fun passing all sorts of ridiculous spending bills—which no matter what is in the bill will go not to the endangered macaws of Alaska, the teacher’s unions of Minnesota or forty agencies with their own SWAT teams, but toward repaying the debts they all accrued.


Of course there will be angry protests and lobbyists, but unfortunately the tax on angry protests by people who are paid with tax money during their work hours and the tax on lobbying to spend tax money should let even them do their part to pay down the debt. It’s only fair.
The newspapers will editorialize and they are free to do that, so long as they are willing to pay the tax on anyone calling for deficit spending. It’s only fair that those who promote spending money should pay their share of the costs of their policies.


Eliminating loopholes like these will help pay down our debts and protect our seniors even quicker, that is why I urge congress to pass this bill. Pass this bill, I say. Our children need it. Our grand-children need it, and our politicians will be locked up in fancy rooms with all the coffee they can drink and free blackberries which will be hooked up to treadmills and the energy of their motion will be used to provide sustainable environmentally friendly power.


Delaying much longer is not an option. Every day that goes by another politician gives a speech and proposes more spending that further inflates the deficit. If we keep this up, no amount of Nancy Pelosi workout tapes and Harry Reid Halloween masks will cover the cost of the money they’re spending.


Sure we can take more from the small timers like Bill Gates and Warren Buffett who are eager to pay their share, so long as their share ends up coming out of the Federal budget, as it did with the Oracle of Crony Capitalism’s latest fantabulous investment. But why waste our time with mere billionaires, when the trillionaires are waiting?
